The Fellowship in Nephrology by Medvarsity is a comprehensive training program designed for healthcare professionals to enhance their expertise in managing kidney-related disorders such as renal failure, glomerular diseases, and urinary tract infections. The program utilizes a blended learning approach, integrating case presentations, lectures, and interactive elements to provide a thorough understanding of nephrology. Participants engage in a 3-month contact program at a leading hospital, offering interactive clinical observerships to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world settings.

The Fellowship in Nephrology is open to both medical graduates (MBBS) and postgraduates (MD/MS/DNB) from all specialties. You should be registered with the National Medical Commission or the State Medical Councils and, you should complete the Certificate and Advanced Certificate Course in Nephrology by Medvarsity to enroll in this fellowship.

In the Fellowship in Nephrology by Medvarsity, you will learn to diagnose and manage kidney-related disorders, including chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), and end-stage renal disease (ESRD). The course covers renal physiology, renal replacement therapies, and the interpretation of diagnostic tests, equipping you with skills to create personalized treatment plans for patients. You will also learn to manage risk factors such as diabetes and hypertension, promoting early detection and intervention to prevent the progression of kidney disease. Through clinical observations, you'll gain clinical experience in real-world settings, applying evidence-based approaches to improve patient outcomes.

A clinical observership is a program that allows healthcare professionals and students to observe clinical practices in a healthcare setting and only engage in clinical observation. You will get to watch experienced clinicians as they conduct medical procedures, patient consultations, and decision-making processes, gaining valuable insights into real-world clinical operations. Your experience enhances their understanding of healthcare delivery and provides opportunities for professional networking and exposure to different medical systems and practices.

Upon completing the Fellowship in Nephrology, including the final assessment and clinical observership, graduates will receive a certificate of fellowship from Medvarsity, BAC (British Accreditation Council) along with AHERF.

Upon completing the Fellowship in Nephrology by Medvarsity, you are not accredited with any CPD (Continuing Professional Development) hours. The program is designed to provide specialized training and education beyond basic nephrology care, equipping healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in nephrology practice.

The course assessments are conducted at multiple intervals as the course progresses, with each chapter ending in a multiple-choice quiz. If you do not clear the quiz at any level or the final assessment on your first attempt, you will have three attempts to do so. Should you fail to clear the final assessment within these three attempts, you will need to pay reactivation fees to continue. To access the course material online, visit “medvarsity.com” and log in using your mobile number or email ID. After entering the OTP sent to your registered number or email, click “Continue.” Navigate to “My Courses” in your profile to access the enrolled course. By clicking “Start” on the course card, you will be directed to the learning page where all content, including videos and reading material, is available online. The videos cannot be downloaded but can be viewed anytime within the course duration. You can pause and resume modules at your own pace within the course timeframe. The course includes a 3-month clinical observership at a leading corporate hospital. All courses are in English. The National Medical Commission (NMC), formerly known as the Medical Council of India (MCI), does not recognize courses offered through online or blended learning platforms.
